Cuba Superior Aprox 500,000 acres are planted with coffee. Mainly small farmers, small holders but also some larger Government - Co-operatives. Mainly Typica variety planted, with the vast majority of the crop coming from the East - Sierra Maestra. Harvest usually takes place during October with shipments available March earliest. Wet & Dry process in operation with natural drying in place on patios. Cup.The coffee is clean tasting, with medium body & a lower acidity than other central from likewise altitudes. It can pick up local characters from other crops, a description of "Sandal Wood" has been used but I would tend towards a more rounded nutty flavour.
