Top notch but pricy !
Customer Review
Mazzer has a reputation for producing the top mills semi pros. Rocket mini actually is beautiful in its livery polished aluminum, heavy, but not very practical as all stepless.
The ugly stickers stuck to hurry on the mill body benefit from being invisible and below ..... gross lack of taste.
Sometimes I regret not having bought a Baratza Vario because each change usually involves a change in grain trimming quite calamitous stepless this model, especially as the impeller is very hard to turn (the mill despite its weight, is not stable in this operation).
Some marks etched on the fixed part of the crown would not add anything to the price and would use much more user friendly!
With every variety of grain there will be a change (light) the weight / grinding time.
The manual in 6 languages, for other models of the brand (not the mini) is fairly simplistic and not translated into French, realize that the law required, it must be remembered.
The price is very high for a device, in fact, much easier to stay in a machine-E61 HX (roughly: a small electric motor to power the wheels, all dressed ....). It is even simpler than professional drill ... for a price much higher.
On milling quality, no visible problem, although I have not checked under a microscope they say its unparalleled homogeneity, except lumps present well (this is probably largely related to static electricity ).
A dispenser generally avoids this problem by "breaking" these lumps but is not very practical for private use.
Attention also to fill the hopper (I use the 320 g and not 500 g), because if it is not filled, voids are created in the hallway and grinding instead of 17 grams on arrival you you end up with 14, which implies an "extension" manual.
If you do not fill it completely (> = 250 g) for reasons of freshness grain, it is better to "toss" the content before starting.
Good grinder is essential with a good machine but more than 700 Roros is in my opinion too expensive for this type of device.

Review by Gerard
